Green Waters was founded in 2007 and is registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). It is composed of the Foundation Committee, the Advisors and the Members. It is the task of the Foundation Committee to meet the aims of the organization during the development activities as well as being responsible for the expenses and revenues as opposed to the subsidizing / aiding sponsors and donors.

Our aim is to support women to realize their full potentials and contribute to sustainable improvement of their lives. We aim to achieve this by facilitating lasting change through capacity building, education, advocacy, networking, partnerships and forming linkages with other organizations that have common visions.
VISION
Our vision is to grow into a well-organized and reputable organization playing leading roles nationally and internationally in the advocacy for empowerment and better future for women.
OBJECTIVE
- Support entrepreneurial development among low-income and disadvantaged women as a way to achieve social and economic empowerment.
- Enable low-income and disadvantaged women entrepreneurs improve management of their businesses and augment sales and profits of their products and services through proactive outcall and tailor-designed educational programs, systematic training, technical assistance, mentoring, leadership development and financing opportunities.
- Provide women entrepreneurs one-on-one coaching and consultancy on how to build and maintain professional relationships, setting goals and achieving objectives, and how to learn the best ways to determine costs of goods and services, increase cash flow and improve cash receivables, and how to analyze market place trends to maximize profits.
- Identify appropriate, reliable and beneficial markets and business partners for low-income and disadvantaged women entrepreneurs.
- Support and strengthen traditional forms of savings, bootstraps financing and practices of micro-finance schemes that are being practiced by low-income and disadvantaged women entrepreneurs in Africa in carrying out their businesses.
STRATEGY
- Build networking opportunities that would help low-income and disadvantaged women entrepreneurs to navigate effectively the ever changing business world.
- Organize annual conferences, exhibitions, seminars and workshops to promote the entrepreneurial development among low-income and disadvantaged women.
- Solicit finance capital for low-income and disadvantaged women entrepreneurs to finance the development of their businesses.
- Collaborate with Governments, UN agencies, NGOs, rural and urban microfinance institutions, public and private enterprises, and relevant women economic empowerment organizations, to enable low-income and disadvantaged women entrepreneurs innovate, create jobs and make vital contribution to socio-economic development of the local and national economies.

As a foundation with an ideal aim, Green Waters requires financial assistance, donations, sponsoring and other forms of income to implement its objectives effectively. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
In all of our work, we will strive for transparency, responsible use of our resources, fairness in our relations, accountability, integrity and excellence. The revenues will be suited to finance the development organization.
Volunteers as well as paid employees will carry out activities. By means of an annual report that is drafted by an accountant, Green Waters gives an account of all receipts and expenditures. We will also frequently report to our sponsors and institutional donors. In order to provide a clear and transparent financial picture, the development organizations will be supervised to give periodical statistic declarations of their financial transactions and status.
